Timucua’s Contemporary Classical Series is swinging big with this special double-feature matinee pairing two beacons of modern classical music.
First, at noon, is Contemporary Art Music Project (CAMP), the enterprising Tampa collective that’s a Florida pacesetter in championing new works. Then, at 2 p.m., the similarly minded, Detroit-based Hub New Music quartet bring their own acclaimed vanguard sensibilities to one of the city’s best listening rooms.
It’s a back-to-back presentation of two major American forces on the new classical frontier at an unbeatable price.
Noon Friday, June 12, Timucua Arts White House, timucua.com, $14-$20.
