The six strings on that guitar are adorable and all, but the lute of the Grammy-nominated Ronn McFarlane can pack dozens of them. And with his decorated chops, he’s about to get medieval on our asses — or at least all Renaissance on our haunches, my liege. With accompanying guitarist Andrew McEvoy, the accomplished duo interpret Renaissance-era string music with contemporary theory and virtuosity. It’ll be a jolt of new blood into old European sounds for Timucua’s International Guitar Festival.
