
In both quality and quantity, the 2000s were inarguably one of the most intelligent and artistic boom times in heavy music with a biblical flood of post-metal excellence. And in that historic stampede of titans, few names ring with era-defining weight and shine like Russian Circles and Pelican. Their respective rises to the top of the canon were blazed through Orlando with many years of frequent and packed stops here. That, sadly, hasn’t been the case in a while.
But at long last, both hall-of-famers aren’t just back but on the same blockbusting bill as a dream convergence of two of the best post-metal bands of their generation. Between Russian Circles, Pelican and Orlando, this will be a date with history.
