When it comes to Earth Day, no one in Orlando is as serious, or at least as clever, as Mox!e Booking. Once again, the local promoter is devoting an entire edition of its pioneering synth-music series, Modern Moog, to honoring obscure masterpiece Mother Earth’s Plantasia by outsider synth hero Mort Garson.
But perish any hippy-dippy thoughts. As an album whose intended audience is not humans but plants, this is a landmark monument of weirdo art. Live performances by Orlando acts Tele and the Ghost of our Lord, Void Modular and Synthetic Motion will perform on a stage outfitted by botanical designer Florosa Designs.
7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, Will’s Pub, willspub.org, $12-$18.
