The Earlybirds Club phenomenon taking root in Orlando is a truly alternative idea. No, not the fact that it’s reserved for women and gender-expansive people. The double-take part is that this dance night ends — not opens — at 10 p.m.
For a city that used to party till dawn, this is fucking paradigm-shattering. But just because you grow up and sprout responsibilities doesn’t mean those dance-floor urges suddenly evaporate. Ask all the revelers making Earlybirds Club catch fire here. The femme-tastic get-down will feature DJ Kaotic Blaze spinning a party-rocking blend of ’80s, ’90s and ’00s.
True to the affair’s ethos, 10 percent of ticket sales go to the Susie Lee Legacy Fund to aid nonprofits supporting women and gender-expansive people. Men, go do something else (legal).
