Swamp Sistas welcome new voices at Stardust Credit: Photo by Jim Leatherman
Swamp Sistas, the Orlando-area sorority spearheaded by Beth McKee, have long been one of the truest community forces in the local music scene.

More than just cultivating the now, their upcoming event proves they’re working to foster the next. “Unplugged and Unfiltered” will be a special inaugural engagement that blends not just music and storytelling but generations.

Veteran Swamp Sistas Beth McKee, Renee Arozqueta, Jen Lowe and Amy Robbins will perform in the round alongside local teen songwriters Colette Boral, Ender Keating, Scarlett Allen and Lila Beckler.

Besides songs, there will be open conversations about creativity and inspiration through live interviews by co-hosts Max Wilder and Nina Friend of WPRK radio show “Girlmaxxing.”

It’ll be a candid, enlightening snapshot of a continuum of Orlando female creatives all on one stage.

7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, Stardust Video & Coffee, $5 suggested donation.
