SINE returns to Orlando with Curse Mackey Credit: Photo by Matthew Moyer
Austin’s Curse Mackey is a credentialed figure in neo-industrial music. But here, he’ll always hold a valiant place for one of the biggest clutch plays in Orlando music history when he stepped up to the mic alongside the heroic David J. to fill in for the suspiciously absent Peter Murphy at the botched Bauhaus 40th anniversary show in 2019. We still remember and appreciate that.

This time, Mackey returns instead for a well-prepared performance of his own music. Opening is fellow Austin act SINE, who shares some of that credit since frontwoman/percussionist Rona Rougeheart also performed alongside Mackey and David J. at that ill-fated show.

Local support will be from South Floridian dark synth-pop act L.U.S.T.

8 p.m. Friday, June 27, Will’s Pub, $20.22.
