Gates open at 3 p.m., so be ready to “step in the name of love” as the show starts shortly after at 5 p.m. Kells has been around since the early ’90s and keeps the music coming with album releases in 2012 and 2013. Performing in those ever-flamboyant studded leather jackets and oversized hats, Kelly headlined major festivals in 2013 including Bonaroo, Pitchfork and the BET awards. Personally, I hope the king channels early 2000 du-rag and jersey R. Kelly to really get the funk going. Information on different ticketing packages can be found here.
