Pop iconoclast Todd Rundgren came to town as part of his “Still Me (Still We)” tour, a romp through his restlessly innovative decades-long career. Whether playing with the Nazz or Utopia, composing for film, manning the desk for Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, or pumping out solo hits like “We Gotta Get You a Woman” and “Bang the Drum All Day,” Rundgren is a rock Zelig on par with Bowie or Lou Reed. Now in his late 70s but still fighting fit, Rundgren has been relentlessly treading the boards for a month and he capped it all off with a triumphant show at the Plaza Live.
