Malcolm Todd, a rising star in the Gen-Z indie pop and alternative R&B scene, is set to perform in Orlando Wednesday at the Plaza Live.

This Orlando stop is one of 26 dates on the “Wholesome Rockstar Tour,” his first-ever headlining tour, following the release of his debut album this year. The eponymous record features the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Chest Pain (I Love)” and the collaborative single “Bleed” with Omar Apollo.

Todd gained widespread attention in 2023 with viral hits like “Art House” and “Roommates,” leading to a record deal with Columbia. He started his music journey in the middle of the pandemic, while he was only a sophomore in high school.

And like many of today’s on-the-rise musicians, TikTok set Todd’s career into full momentum after his song “Lately” became a viral smash. With an extremely fresh — and already successful — career, it’s easy to see that Todd will soon be in the mainstream.

8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, The Plaza Live, sold out.
