Orlando’s Fast Preacher headlines a night of crucial new Florida sounds at Tuffy’s

This free Tuffy’s show is a standout showcase of pan-Florida talent that’s varied, under the radar and, most importantly, good.

Fast Preacher is the buttery indie-psych-soul-funk project of gifted Orlando artist Daniel Hanson. Katara are an intriguing and unlikely Tampa Bay fusion duo who dare to prove that harp music and funky grooves are not as mutually exclusive as they look on paper. 1blackfrend are a Jacksonville trio who inject a big jolt of real soul and grit into indie rock.

Together, they’re a musical cross section that shows Florida can still be a place for bright, colorful and diverse voices.
