Sure, yes, the whole themed cover-band night concept is a bit careworn, but this two-night spooktacular at Will’s has highlights worth braving a Halloween weekend on a bursting-at-the-seams Mills 50.
The spooky institution that is Psycho ’78 doing their annual full-bore Misfits set is always welcome; a GG Allin tribute act called GG Ellin has us intrigued despite ourselves; and hardcore firebrands M.A.C.E. doing a Bauhaus tribute set as Interlude With a Vampire Haus is almost wishcasting for us. Also expect takes on AFI, Alkaline Trio, Jawbreaker and Control This! performing a “Skalloween” set. Our only quibble: No Cramps?
8 p.m., Friday-Saturday, Oct. 30-31, Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave., willspub.org, $13.95-$27.90.
