Brave the rain tonight to check out rootsy NY rockers Hollis Brown at Backbooth.
Hollis Brown are getting a fair amount of buzz- Rolling Stone, Paste and Village Voice have all nodded approvingly- for their ragged-glory Americana. Might very well be the last time you get the chance to check them out on a small stage. If nothing else, a band brazen enough to name themselves after a Bob Dylan song deserve a cursory listen.
Show is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are going for $10. Also playing is Great Peacock.
