Mat Kerekes of Citizen plays intimate solo gig at Winter Park’s Conduit

Fans of post-hardcore/rock/alternative outfit Citizen are in for an intimate treat this week when lead vocalist Mat Kerekes puts on a solo gig at Winter Park’s Conduit.

Kerekes first burst into the solo scene — with a succinct self-titled EP — in 2014, just three years after the release of Citizen’s first full-length album, Young States. Kerekes now is touring behind his latest album, To Dream of Something Wicked, an emotionally potent 12-song collection released in October.

Show support comes from Ohio emo-alt group Equipment and New Jersey emo-indie one-piece Bike Routes.
