Feel the pulse of Puerto Rico’s new wave as Chuwi brings their Primavera Tour to the Beacham Saturday. Recently named by Billboard as one of the “26 Latin Artists to Watch in 2026,” the quartet fuses Afro-Caribbean rhythms with reggaeton, indie-pop and electronic textures, creating a sound that mutates between nostalgic and futuristic.

Their breakout single “WELTiTA,” a hypnotic, bass-heavy track layered with playful synths and chanting vocals, gained global traction after a collaboration with Bad Bunny and launched the group onto major stages like Lollapalooza. Chuwi’s music draws from Puerto Rico’s street-level party culture — think San Juan block parties, late-night dance circles and the communal energy of Caribbean festivals — while still feeling polished enough for global audiences.

Onstage, this translates into a set packed with layered beats, call-and-response moments and nonstop movement that keeps the crowd locked in from start to finish.

7 p.m. Saturday, May 16, The Beacham, 46 N. Orange Ave., foundation-presents.com, $25.
