Although she might not look like it at first glance, Poppy is ready to rock. The artist’s “Constantly Nowhere” tour is coming to Orlando, following the release of her latest album, Empty Hands, earlier this year. The album primarily purveys metalcore and pop metal sounds, although synth-pop and dancefloor moves are scattered throughout the 13-track record.

Poppy shifted away from the pop realm into heavier sounds with her third album, I Disagree, in 2020, which fascinatingly brought her even further into the mainstream. (We all want to rock?) So if you’re in the mood for a night of futuristic metal and synthwaves, “Constantly Nowhere” is very much where you need to be.

7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, Hard Rock Live, 6050 Universal Blvd., entertainment.hardrock.com, $63.45.
