Double Bubble play Punk for Public Media

Will’s Pub, Whatever Dude Productions and MOX!E unite with Central Florida Public Media for a second year with the Punk for Public Media benefit concert. The show features a multigenerational lineup of seven locals, including Partner, Double Bubble, S.M.O.P. and Debt Neglector, for an afternoon of loud music.

On top of the sounds, Little Giant will post up on the Dirty Laundry back patio, serving up good eats until they sell out. Limited edition Punk for Public Media T-shirts can be had at the merch table, with a small number of last year’s design available as well.

All proceeds go toward supporting Central Florida Public Media, our local NPR affiliate station and its staff. The event started in the wake of cuts in state and federal funding for public media last year, which left Central Florida Public Media and outlets all around the country to fend for themselves financially. That hasn’t changed at all in the last 12 months, so it’s time to make some noise again.

Noon Sunday, Aug. 23, Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave., willspub.org, $30.13.
