Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Orlando take on James Cameron’s film Avatar this weekend, performing a live soundtrack to the film.
The show is notable for two reasons. First, this is the U.S. premiere of the Avatar in Concert series. Second, James Horner’s score will be interpreted on the night by the formidable local musicians of the Orlando Phil and Opera Orlando as the film screens behind them.
Avatar in Concert happens at the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center on Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available through the venue.
