Miami’s Buko Boys are breezing into Orlando with a sun-soaked set Saturday. The group has roots in the Philippines, with its name paying homage to the Tagalog word for coconut, “buko.” Their self-produced 2025 album, Float, melds a variety of sounds, including pop-punk energy on “Arctic Monkeys Type Beat” and a beachy bossa-nova sound on “Mactan Mood,” with other tracks effortlessly incorporating elements from R&B and jazz.
The band honed their sound performing on the streaming platform Twitch, where they would jam, joke and share their close-knit personalities. The Buko Boys are bringing that same slacker charm to My Sister’s House at Boardwalk Bowl, alongside Catnap, Uber Crunch and Los Bajas.
