The Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival may be taking a breather for 2019, but one of its signature attractions – an outdoor dance floor featuring a crashed UFO and otherworldly lightshows – makes a pop-up appearance at the fairgrounds this weekend. They’ve grabbed some top talent for this outing too, with techno stars Dubfire (Ali Shirazinia, maybe better known as one half of deep house pioneers Deep Dish) and Todd Terry (responsible for bringing house to the mainstream by producing tracks like Everything but the Girl’s “Missing” in 1994). The fact that the Central Florida Fair will be happening nearly right on top of this warehouse dance party only makes it more perfect somehow.
