It’s been a few years since Oklahoma singer-songwriter and onetime 4AD Records artist John Moreland has played the Orlando area. A lot has happened in the meantime.
Moreland tried out some new electronic hues on Birds in the Ceiling in 2022; he then unplugged from the smartphone grid and suddenly had an album’s worth of late-night laments that became 2024’s profound The Visitor.
Moreland is ready to share those songs live with Florida audiences always eager to soak in his skeletal, world-weary Americana. He’s playing a few dates in the area and then hitting the high seas for the Cayamo music-fest-as-cruise with the likes of Jeff Tweedy and Emmylou Harris. Life is wild.
