Trombonist and singer Saunders Sermons combines pop smarts and jazz sensibilities with such ease he seemingly moves between musical worlds, notching collabs with Jay-Z and Roy Hargrove handily.
These skills that pay the bills have netted him two Grammys and a touring stint with R&B enigma Maxwell. Now the Miami musician comes to Judson’s Live to play two gigs with fellow Florida genre chameleons Gerald Law II & the Clutch. This pairing should make for fascinating and eclectic listening.
7 & 9 p.m. Thursday, July 24, Judson’s Live, $23-$41.
