Family, stability and vulnerability underpin Grammy-winning singer Kali Uchis’ “Sincerely, Tour,” as she makes her way, with a new baby in tow, to the Kia Center.
Returning to the road after the birth of her second child, the Colombian-American singer-songwriter writes “songs as letters,” penning anthems of womanhood, kinship and new beginnings. After a decade of making music, she dedicates her fifth album, Sincerely, to her mom, who passed away from lung cancer in April, only a short time before the album’s release.
As multiple tour dates continue to sell out, “The Sincerely, Tour” setlist features a mix of songs from the new album as well as some classic top hits that showcase her “genre-defying sound and bilingual artistry.”
8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, Kia Center, $50-$350.
