BET’s “The Next Big Thing” star and Grammy-nominated queer singer-songwriter Durand Bernarr headlines the Plaza Live as part of his “You Still Gon’ Grow, Too! Tour.”
Bernarr, a self-proclaimed “not so quiet star” (epithet coined during his viral 2023 Tiny Desk set), pushes at the boundaries of R&B, mixing in elements of funk, country, rock and opera.
On the heels of the release of his third album, BLOOM, and his command performance at Lollapalooza, Bernarr’s electric and eclectic flair is undeniable as he invites Orlando to celebrate “the love found in friendship, self-discovery, and the communities that help us grow.”
8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, The Plaza Live, $41.
