Adventurous rockers Foxing take the Abbey stage to perform a haunting wealth of tracks from their decade-and-a-half presence in the emo and indie-rock scenes.

But this tour is pointedly not about revisiting past albums; the band has just released a new self-titled, self-produced and self-released album that’s an exhilarating statement of creative independence and evolution. You’ll hear some hits, sure, but this is a band very much in the now.

Do yourself a favor and pop into the Abbey early to catch openers From Indian Lakes. The young dream-pop project led by Joe Vann deal in pure audio ecstasy and swoon, with that essential undercurrent of unrealized longing. The band’s newest album, Head Void, brings the ether, but also Broadcast-y experimental vibes for a more complex listen.

7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, The Abbey, abbeyorlando.com, $20.
