Grab your white pony around the fur and saddle up. Legendary alt-metal band Deftones are returning to the Sunshine State by way of similarly sunny Sacramento.
On Thursday, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, Frank Delgado and Chino Moreno will blast a sold-out audience at the Kia Center with a set of the nü-metal-via-postpunk anthems that have soundtracked the lives of many a disaffected youth.
Preceding Deftones are buzzy Boston-based shoegaze band Fleshwater and the out-of-this-world prog-metallers Mars Volta. So clutch your crosses and pray that you get in that house, so that you may employ your diamond eyes gazing at the bands and not mournfully at your footwear.
