“Weird Al” Yankovic released
Mandatory Fun last year, taking on pop stars like Lorde, Iggy Azalea and Pharrell Williams in direct parody (and a hilarious Polka-fied medley including a verse poking fun at Miley’s “Wrecking Ball”), plus goofing off in the styles of Foo Fighters, Cat Stevens and Pixies. And people ate it up, like a “Fat” kid on cake. So imagine how much
more fun it’s gonna be seeing Weird Al perform those songs live? Well, the saga begins: He’s booked a date in Orlando at Hard Rock Live on Aug. 11.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, so set an alert or your plans may be foiled. It’ll be a good time to learn some grammar, if nothing else.
