Orlando, the BakKery is open! CupcakKe is serving up her latest batch of raunchy, wildly quotable rap at the Plaza Live. The Chicago rapper has spent the past decade turning explicit punchlines and an anything-goes sense of humor into a cult following, but there’s plenty happening between the dirty jokes. She’s a quick, technically sharp MC with a knack for twisting a line until it lands somewhere between a gasp and a laugh.
Her most recent album, 2025’s The BakKery, uses the same formula but throws more dance and house elements into the mix. So, what’s on the menu? A melange of newer material and the songs that have followed CupcakKe around for years, including “CPR,” “Deepthroat” and “Squidward Nose.” Her shows tend to leave lots of room for crowd interaction with her fervent fanbase and off-the-cuff comedy, so come ready to scream along … but try not to blush.
8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, The Plaza Live, 425 N. Bumby Ave., theplazaliveorlando.org, $49-$70.17.
