“Mixologist” (that’s a fancy word for bartender, kids) Darryl Robinson has come up with a couple of cocktails for your political tippling pleasure. Below, one for Gramps, one for Hopey, and just for good measure, one for Hills too.
Drink up, voters.
McCain Julep
Champagne
Mint leaves
Simple syrup (approx. 1 tsp sugar)
Dash of lime juice
Mix ingredients together. Shake. Serve on the rocks.
Obama Rising
2 oz Ciroc Vodka (trendy vodka produced from grapes)
Red Bull
Shake together in an iced mixing glass. Strain mixture into martini glass and top off with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Hillary Rocks
1.5 oz vanilla vodka
.5 oz crème de cacao (clear)
A dash of blue curacao
Mix ingredients together. Shake. Serve in an iced rocks glass.
