The second annual Orlando Girls Rock Fest is upon us, at Will’s Pub this weekend. As we prepare for the unprecedented in 2025, events like this Fest offer an essential opportunity to ground ourselves in community and commit to building a brighter future for us all.

The full day of live music is in support of Orlando Girls Rock Camp, where local artists volunteer their time to teach girls, nonbinary and trans youth how to make music — building confidence and the next generation of artists this paper can’t wait to report on.

The first half of the day is all-ages, with Paperback Romance kicking off the festivities, and the night ends with Strangelace, the singer of M.A.C.E. going full Projekt. The lineup ranges statewide, with everyone from Gainesville’s Antagonizör to St. Pete’s Sure Thing.

2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave., willspub.org, $15-$30.
