Hüsker Dü leading light, out-and-proud gay man, former writer for wrestling fed WCW, alt-rocker emeritus in the harrowing Sugar, and guitar demon Bob Mould comes to Orlando solo this week. But he ain’t playing unplugged, you nerds. He’s going full electric.

See, Mould is out on the road by his lonesome doing deep dives through his own memorable catalog, and giving some new, in-progress works live airings — “memorable pop songs” is the vibe, sayeth Mould.

But there are plenty of familiar anthems and gems getting the solo treatment on this run of dates. Previous shows have seen him tackle Hüsker’s “Something I Learned Today” and “Too Far Down,” and Sugar’s undeniable “If I Can’t Change Your Mind,” among other serrated weepers and crowd-pleasers.

Fingers crossed for “Black Sheets of Rain.”

7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, The Social, $25.
