100 Gecs and Machine Girl summoned up the feral future of music at their Orlando show

We sent Matt Keller Lehman in cold to shoot 100 Gecs’ and Machine Girl’s apocalyptic team-up at Hard Rock Live (on theme park property, no less!) Thursday night. Besides the photos, he sent us this message scribbled on the back of an overexposed Polaroid:

“Black Mirror meets the boss scene at the end of Mario meets a movie about real-ife possession, all written, designed and directed in a colorful hell on some planet we haven’t discovered yet and evangelized by kind, indifferent youth, high on experimental noise, bright lights, acceptance … and social media. Would attend whatever the hell I saw, again and again. Not for everyone, but cheers to the unapologetic soundmakers of the world and their fans. Don’t take life too seriously. It’s OK to scream.”
