Premieres Wednesday, March 25:
Bait — Jeff Bezos gets all meta (you should pardon the expression) with a comedy series that stars Riz Ahmed as a British actor who finds himself in contention to play the next James Bond. And if you think that’s crass advance promotion for whatever 007 flick Prime ends up making, you should see what HBO Max is up to with America’s Next Top Hagrid. (Prime Video)
Homicide: New York — Season 2 of the true-crime documentary series from the irrepressible Dick Wolf spotlights cases like the killing of the Central Park jogger and even September 11. Wow, you mean they finally have a lead in that thing? (Netflix)
Premieres Thursday, March 26:
Love Overboard — Twenty-two singles try to hook up aboard a luxury yacht, but are they as interested in romance as they are in gaining access to the ship’s “extravagant amenities”? And why am I suddenly thinking about Sydney Sweeney again? (Hulu)
MLB Opening Day 2026 — Be in front of your screen at 8:05 p.m. EDT sharp to see the Yankees and the Giants kick off this year’s Major League diamond action. It’s Netflix’s first foray into streaming live ball, so forgive them if seem desperate with that “Are you still stretching?” prompt in the middle of the 7th. (Netflix)
The Red Line — Three Thai women are bent on revenge after they’re swindled by a phone-scam operation. Let me tell you, there’s going to be hell to pay as soon as they settle those outstanding tolls they just got texted about. (Netflix)
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen — Upon arriving at her fiancé’s family home, a bride-to-be begins to feel uneasy about the wedding in ways that go beyond the usual cold feet. Given that this is a horror miniseries, we’re talking hypothermic cankles at the very least. (Netflix)
Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole — Oslo is in the grip of a serial killer in a miniseries based on the literary exploits of detective (I kid you not) Harry Hole. Back home in Norway, the show is titled Jo Nesbø’s Harry Høle, but that was out of the question here, for obvious reasons. (We don’t have enough vowels.) (Netflix)

Premieres Friday, March 27:
53 Sundays — The diagnosis is comedy when three Spanish siblings try to figure out what to do about their dad’s worsening dementia. Yep, there’s nothing funnier than when the person who sired you stabs you while you’re sleeping because he’s convinced you’re selling his toenail clippings on Mercari. (Netflix)
BTS: The Return — Now that you’ve watched last week’s triumphant comeback concert, dig into a documentary chronicle of the making of BTS’ attendant new album, Arirang. Fun fact: That’s Korean for “One of us is about to transition, but we won’t tell you which one until we’ve gamed the betting on Polymarket.” (Netflix)
For All Mankind — As Season 5 commences, the authorities back on Earth are determined to crack down on the increasingly lawless and independent behavior of the Mars colonies. Which must be how Jerry Demings feels every time he visits the Taco Bell at Orange and Central. (Apple TV)
The Mortuary Assistant — We’re all used to feeling a little anxious on our first day at a new job, but that’s nothing compared to what a rookie mortician faces as she learns her new place of employment is a front for devil worship. Still, it could be worse. They could be training SeeDance. (Shudder)
The Predator of Seville — This doc has the shocking truth about a Spanish tour guide who’s believed to have assaulted several American students. But let’s be fair: There’s only so many times a day you can hear “Where’s the McDonald’s?” before you’re no longer responsible for your actions. (Netflix)
Privileges — A French prison inmate gets a day-release job as a hotel bellhop, only to learn the place is a hotbed of power struggles and subterfuge. Really makes you appreciate those innocent shower assaults, doesn’t it? (HBO Max)
Premieres Tuesday, March 31:
FBI True — Cases revisited in Season 8 include the landmark pursuit and prosecution of Mafia don John Gotti. Full disclosure: I once made out with his goddaughter in a South Florida club while she was engaged to someone else, which is why I now do all my writing from a safehouse in Palatka. (Paramount+)
If It’s Tuesday, It’s Murder — A bunch of Spaniards on holiday in Lisbon turn sleuth after one of their party is killed. Over here, we’re thoroughly satisfied just listening to podcasts, but I guess those NATO types need to feel like they’re good for something. (Hulu)
Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom — Learn all the lurid details of the 2015 incident in which the NBA great was found nearly dead in a Nevada whorehouse. Which may sound bad, but it’s still better than being found totally dead in a Men’s Wearhouse. (Netflix)
