NFL Play Action — Host Kyle Brandt and sidekick Ally Love present a weekly recap of the latest developments in the world of pro football. Come back, soccer; all is forgiven. (Paramount+)

The Paper — In Season 2 of the hit Office spinoff, Toledo Truth Teller editor Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) tries to keep it a secret from his staff that he’s having an affair with one of the paper’s female reporters. But good luck getting that Olivia Nuzzi to ever keep her mouth shut. (Peacock)

Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again? — The cast of characters from 2007’s Why Did I Get Married? reunite to watch two of their children walk down the aisle. Too bad it’s not a throuple, because I think America is finally ready for Why Did I Get Married Again and Again and Again? (Netflix)

Streaming Thursday, Sept. 10:

Call My Agent! The Movie — Joining the esteemed ranks of Twin Peaks and PAW Patrol, the French comedy series Call My Agent busts out into the world of feature films. Five years after the events of the show, the principals of the Agence Samuel Kerr talent agency have made a lateral move into producing and directing movies. At least they’re well practiced at telling actors, “Trust me, you made ze right move by being in zees piece of sheet.” (Netflix)

Colin From Accounts — If you remember, I had led you to believe you the third and final season of this Australian comedy was going to drop in late July. But you know what else I remember? When Hillary Clinton was going to be president. So maybe you can just grow up and learn to deal with disillusionment too. (Paramount+) 

Crew Girl — There’s no girls’ rowing team at her new prep school, so teenager Teagan is put in charge of a crew of undisciplined, unruly males. And for some reason, Sophie Cunningham is totally cool with it, as long as she gets to do the uni checks. (Netflix)

NFL Melbourne Game — Kickoff time is 8:35 p.m. ET as the 49ers and the Rams take to the field at the NFL Stadium Campus in Yarra Park. Halftime entertainment is by the Jonas Brothers. Wait a minute, I thought Eurasia was supposed to be 14 hours ahead of us, not 17 years behind. (Netflix)

The Perfect Lie — The Dutch best-seller The Dinner Club becomes a suspense-laden limited series, in which an accidental death shakes the foundations of a coterie of well-off friends. But seriously, who lets a little thing like one dead Dutchman spoil their good time? Talk about your first-wörld prôblems. (Netflix)

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — Production on Season 5 was halted after Taylor Frankie Paul was outed as a boyfriend beater, but Hulu is going ahead and dropping the five episodes that had been completed by then anyway. So why is this considered OK, yet we still haven’t seen the episodes of Megan Wants a Millionaire that got scuttled in 2009 over a murder-suicide? As Dakota Mortensen would say, beats me! (Hulu)

Streaming Friday, Sept. 11:

El Juicio — In a drama series plucked from the annals of Mexican case law, a father fights to get justice for his daughter after she’s assaulted by the son of a wealthy businessman. Golly, maybe they are sending their best. (Prime Video)

Go Team! — A company retreat descends into bedlam for the employees of a Spanish cheesemaking firm when they learn mass layoffs are about to hit. Hmmm … that sounds awfully familiar. Season 2 of Jury Duty, wasn’t it? Or am I thinking of casual Friday at Full Sail? (Netflix)

Honor Thy Mother — A Filipina CEO has to fight to hold onto her position when her estranged daughter mounts a bid for control of the family business. At least we know now who’s been review-bombing Yelp Manila. (Prime Video)

Physical 100: Italy — The Mediterranean gets its own edition of the global competition franchise in which folks from all walks of life face off in contests of strength and endurance. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen Giorgia Meloni blow up a hot water bottle with just the force of her queefs! (Netflix)

Streaming Monday, Sept. 14:

Gabby’s Dollhouse — Season 14 introduces little sister Doozie, whose love of dogs is bound to create an interesting contrast with the cat-fixated Gabby. And what a great way to teach the next generation that it’s OK to cut off family members over irreconcilable political differences. (Netflix)

Streaming Tuesday, Sept. 15:

The Creep Tapes — Season 3 of the found-footage serial-killer show includes a guest appearance by Ora Duplass, daughter of series co-creator and star Mark Duplass. “Well, that’s a good way to get no one to take you seriously,” comments noted horror expert Asia Argento. (Shudder and AMC+)

Jo Koy: Blue in the Face — It’s been 27 months since Koy’s last stand-up special, so his team has had plenty of time to come up with boffo material. And if it bombs, he wants you to know he wasn’t responsible for that gag about Elliot Page and the farmer’s daughter. (Netflix)
