Popular Orlando sandwich emporium Pom Pom’s has announced it is reopening … just not in Orlando.

The Teahouse & Sandwicheria, a former staple of Orlando’s Milk District, this week announced plans to reopen in Sanford at Henry’s Depot food hall.

“The timing, the space, and a great partner made this all happen!!,” read a post on Pom Pom’s Instagram account this week. “#Sanford, we are excited to be in your beautiful city!”

Pom Pom’s owner Pom Moongauklang is partnering with Vinnie Nguyen and re-opening Pom Pom’s (sans teahouse — heartbreak) in Salvatore’s old stall inside Henry’s Depot. Many of the old menu’s mainstays, like the Fu Manchu with Asian pulled pork and ginger-cranberry chutney and the Big Daddy with turkey, ham and roast beef, will be on offer. Pop-ups (even more on that in a second) will be staged in March prior an anticipated-mid April opening.

“Pom Pom’s was very successful in Orlando. There’s been a huge buzz on social media about her coming in here,” said Sean Kelley, owner of Henry’s Depot, to Fox 35.

Pom Pom’s Milk District locale shuttered back in October after 20 years in business. But come 2025 she’s busier than ever.

We reported in December that Moongauklang was planning to launch a pop-up concept called Pomisaan inspired by the food of the Isan region of Thailand. And Pomisaan has been regularly popping up all over the city throughout February.

Aaaaaand, Moongauklang is not done with the Milk District yet. The space that long housed Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria on Bumby will receive a complete refresh and a new concept by the versatile chef. Moongauklang says that the as-yet-unnamed restaurant will see her “put on her chef coat” and add some “molecular touches” to the dishes she presents. Tasting menu? Probably. This project has a very tentative fall opening date.

Which makes for a lot on Moongauklang’s plate.
