Yelp has released their second annual list of the top 100 places to grab a bite in Florida. This time, though, Orlando took over.

With a dozen City Beautiful eateries scoring spots — and two in the top 10 — the list once again proves that for foodies, Orlando’s the place to be. There’s extreme spice from Chicken Fire, over-the-top sushi from MA-SE and a ton of Central Florida flavor.

“To determine Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in Florida in 2023, we identified businesses in the restaurants category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews between January 1, 2022 and January 1, 2023,” the release from Yelp said.

So, check out some of Orlando’s favorites and what the Yelpers have to say about them here.

4. Jam Hot Chicken 400 W. New England Ave., Winter Park “This place is slap yo momma good! I’m not gonna lie, I was skeptical that it would be good. But I was more than pleasantly surprised — I was blown away! I consider myself to be a hot chicken connoisseur. This spot is as good, if not better than the famous Hatty B’s and Prince’s Hot Chicken in Nashville.” – Mike N. Credit: Photo via Hot Jam Chicken
10. Chicken Fire 2425 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando “WARNING: Hot X IS HOOOOTTTTT!! Listen to them when they explain the spice levels!! One of the individuals with me got the Hot X and started to sweat immediately! I tried the sauce and thought my tongue was going to burn off . The chicken is cooked to perfection! This has to be the best chicken I have ever eaten.” – Lo K. Credit: Photo via Chicken Fire/Facebook
17. Stasio’s 2320 E. Robinson St., Orlando “Stasio’s where have you been all my life? Were you hiding in plain sight? Hell, maybe I’d still be living in Florida if you texted me back… 5 stars all the way. Oh, and don’t skip on the cannolis. Some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. My family and I devoured these for a midnight snack; you know, as Italians do!” – Matt C. Credit: Photo via Stasio’s Italian Deli and Market/Yelp
48. MA-SE Sushi Eatery 182 W. State Road 434, Longwood “Had a great experience at Ma-Se Sushi Eatery. Sat at the bar and had some well deserved Lychee Soju to start my highly anticipated meal:) Their menu is a mix of Japanese and Thai cuisine. So, if you have a hankering to mix and match or can’t decide between the two, they will satisfy both palates.” – Devin D. Credit: Photo via MA-SE Sushi Eatery/Yelp
53. Bombay Street Kitchen 6215 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando “Bombay Street Kitchen is clean/modern, delicious, and has a great staff (Vani was so friendly)!I will be coming back…my favorite items were the Masala Dosa and Samosa Chat to start off with and then the Chicken Biryani (served w/ extra spice).” – Maha K. Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine5494 Central Florida Parkway, (407) 778-3119 “This place was amazing. New to Ethiopian/Eritrean food, they were accommodating and explained things several times. Their own herbal tea blend beat any of the expensive blends I buy at Megacon lol. We got the giant sharable sampler and it was the best choice.” – Dakota C Credit: Photo via Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine/Yelp
SoDough Square 419 E. Michigan St., Orlando Authentic Detroit-style pizza and Coney dogs are now being served at SoDough Square, the most Detroit restaurant in the city. Coney dogs, in case you’re wondering, are beef hot dogs on a steamed bun topped with a beanless chili sauce, onions and mustard. Photo via Palate Bistro/Yelp Credit: Photo via SoDough Square/Yelp
70. The Mexican Camel 5752 International Drive, Orlando “The restaurant kinda feels like the bones of a chipotle, but the food from this restaurant is significantly better! In my opinion, they are the pinnacle of good and quick food. I ordered the Mexdilla with a side of their chipotle mango sauce.” – Diego B. Credit: Photo via The Mexican Camel/Facebook
77. The Porch South Orange 4757 S. Orange Ave., Orlando “Went here for Sunday Brunch and enjoyed myself! They do $4 brunch shots, make sure you ask for the list. They are really good and interesting. The food came out really quick. We didn’t wait long for our food or drinks. Looks like they have an awesome happy hour, so I will for sure be back to get drunk after work one day.” – Billy J. 81. Café Tu Tu Tango 8625 International Drive, Orlando “When friends or family visit me, this is my go-to place to give them an experience they probably cannot find anywhere else… Besides a variety of food served tapa style, there is local artwork on the walls (available for purchase), entertainment on certain nights (we had a dancer last evening) and a tarot card reader.” – Greg L. 98. Adega Gaucha 8204 Crystal Clear Lane, Orlando “Hands down this the best Brazilian steakhouse in Orlando! Everything was amazing! Although they accept walk-ins I highly recommend making a reservation.” – Thysis R. Credit: Photo via Adega Gaucha/Facebook
99. Ziggie’s Pizza 603 Virginia Drive, Orlando “Pizza definitely gets 5 stars! Highly recommend! Even though it’s thin crust style, it holds the toppings pretty well and isn’t over sauced. Each bite is perfect and is well-balanced! You can definitely taste the quality of each ingredient used… from the sauce, to the cheese, and even to the dough.” – Vincent L.
