Ô Bon Chocolatier, specializing in bite-sized confections like bonbons and dragées in all sorts of flavors, has opened inside East End Market in the space that previously housed Olde Hearth Bread Co. and Dochi. And, yes, they have Dubai chocolate … Nikkei cuisine is coming to Orlando. Nikitta, by the hospitality group behind Euphoria Nightclub in downtown Orlando and Kissimmee, will blend Japanese and Peruvian flavors to offer “a bold, emotional and unforgettable culinary experience.” Nikitta will open in the old Hanamizuki space at 8255 International Drive this summer … Nearby, Dick’s Last Resort, the rowdy roadhouse that takes pride in its rude and sassy service, has opened at Pointe Orlando. In 2016, the restaurant abruptly closed its Orlando location, leaving restaurant workers in the lurch. Total dick move …

Haraz Coffee House, the Michigan-based Yemeni café pouring creative Eastern- and Western-style coffee beverages using beans picked from the mountainous region of Jabal Haraz, has opened inside Alafaya Point at 1737 N. Alafaya Trail … Tapanomi Tapas & Nomikai has opened next door to Akasaka Sushi in Dr. Phillips at 7786 W. Sand Lake Road. The late-night spot features a menu of Spanish tapas and Japanese izakaya faves … Look for Michi Ramen and boba tea joint Tsaocaa to open at 3683 E. Colonial Drive in the old Noodles & Co. space at Fashion Square Mall. In addition to ramen, Michi will serve crispy fried chicken and fluffy egg waffles.

Scott Copeland, former chef-partner at Artisan’s Table (and former sous chef at Kevin Fonzo’s K Restaurant) has been appointed executive chef of The Chapman in Winter Park. Last month’s review of The Chapman was less than favorable, so hopefully Copeland can turn things around in the kitchen … After a three-week closure, Luke’s Kitchen in Maitland has reopened with a fresh new look and menu tweak playing up coastal cuisine. New dishes include grilled Canadian salmon with ponzu cucumber, swordfish Milanese and crab-artichoke dip.
