It’s the sort of joint one would expect to see in Mills 50 or the Milk District, but come September, College Park will get its very own vibey lounge with a highly curated ambience.
Sonic Bloom, a vinyl listening room serving coffee and selling flowers, or a flower shop pouring coffee and spinning vinyl, will open this September in the Adair Plaza at 1321 Edgewater Drive (map).
The concept is the brainchild of owners Nicole Belle, an interior designer and stylist who operates the House Healer studio in the recently reconstructed plaza, and Ramon Medina, a DJ who’s been spinning records for more than 20 years. The pair share a deep love for coffee, music and the comforts of home, and decided to put them all together and share their idea with the community.
The 900-square-foot space will include a DJ booth with hi-fi sound, a living/dining room area doubling as a listening lounge, and a flower wall. “Our guests will be able to make a bouquet while having coffee and listening to vinyl,” Belle says. “We plan on having flower-making workshops, and Ramon will share the decks with select DJs as well.”
The inspiration for Sonic Bloom came full view after the pair made a couple of trips to New York City and experienced similar venues. “We just want to bring something creative, fun and comforting to Orlando, a place where people can get together and vibe to music without alcohol.”

Belle says they’ll serve traditional espresso-based coffee (using Miami-based Panther Coffee) with specialty and seasonal drinks, matcha and organic tea also being offered, in addition to pastries and bagels.
And as far as Belle’s neighboring design studio, she says she’s going to transition the House Healer into a market of sorts. “I’ll still meet clients there and we’ll still have samples, but we’re in the process of purchasing home goods so that by the time Sonic Bloom opens, the House Healer will be a retail space.”
Belle says she hopes the retail space will create a symbiotic relationship with Sonic Bloom by offering such wares as flower vases and coffee mugs.
Sounds like a winning combination.
