With the addition of a few notable restaurants like Cask & Larder, the food situation at Orlando International Airport has gotten slightly better. So, because no one should end up eating at that weird Burger King Express, here’s how to eat good at MCO. We’ve even identified which places serve booze, in case you’re having that kind of travel day.
Main Terminal, Food Court
Chic-fil-A
5 a.m. – 10 p.m. except for Sundays, (405)-825-8270
Alcohol: This location does not serve alcohol but lemonade is a fantastic mixer by itself.
If you find yourself in a rush, this chicken pushing paradise is a quick fix to your growing hunger pains. You can hastily walk up, snag a chicken sandwich and head towards TSA all in a matter of moments while enjoying less cow.

Hemisphere

With the guidance of Executive Chef Jeffery Powell, recently renovated Hemisphere brings a culinary experience consisting of Moroccan-inspired Lamb Chops, Wagyu Grass-fed Beef Burgers and delectable bits of genius to MCO for a leisurely sit down experience that might make you forget you have a flight to catch.

McCoy’s Bar and Grill
11 a.m. – 12:30 a.m., (407)-825-1234
Alcohol: Has a drink menu overflowing with foreign wines and traditional sake.
With options ranging from healthy sushi to hearty N.Y. strips, fulfilling dishes can be found aplenty on McCoy’s menu, with seafood getting an elevated pedestal. Come in sit down and unwind because food of this quality will not be rushed and neither should you.

Lobby Bar
Mon – Sat 5 p.m. – 1 a.m., Sun 4 p.m. – 1 a.m., (407)-825-1234
Alcohol: A spot that swiftly address your adult beverage requirements with ease.
The Main Terminal is home to most of the slow rolling and classy sit down dining experiences and the Lobby Bar is not exempt from that group. Venture out of the food court mindset and indulge in their blackened grouper or their assortment of sushi rolls.

Urban Crave
5:30 a.m. – Last Flight, (407)-825-7850
Alcohol: Beers and cocktails can be discovered while sitting at their wrap around bar.
Producing entrees in a “street” mindset, Urban Crave brings items like Huevos Rancheros and other spice riddled dishes to your less than hasty dining experience.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina
7 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-2922
Alcohol: Margaritas & Tequila….need I say more.
Whether you have the time to sit and eat or not, On the Border provides both hasty and relaxed dining experiences. Fajitas and mexican cuisine may not have ever seen the other side of Trump’s wall, but the flavor will have you fooled.

Brioche Doree Cafe & Bakery
4:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., (407)-825-2854
Alcohol: It is easy to spot a passionate baker if you know where to look, and that of course is in the crust. If this creed is to be held as law, then cease your search for the perfect airport baker, for the folks at Brioche Doree are indeed who you seek. With quiches and pastries to salivate over this food court location can get you fed and on your way in a heartbeat.

Cold Stone Creamery
9 a.m. – 10 p.m., (407)-825-2854
Alcohol: No alcohol here, but I suppose if it’s a necessity, you could ask some of the “Cold Stone Creamers” if they have big boy drinks in their employee locker.
This fast acting ice cream dispenser of a store will hook you up with “dessert first” every time. Cheap, fast and on the way to your turbulence maker, this creamy mecca requires your company, even if for just a moment.

Le Grand Comptoir
7:30 a.m. – Last Flight, (407)-825-7850
Alcohol: To answer your question, yes, it has plenty of alcohol for sale.
This upscale French brasserie was awarded first place in “Travel and Leisure’s Best Airport Spots” and is capable of much more than producing an unforgettable airport visit. With the subtle support of contemporary jazz and an extensive wine selection worth boasting over, Le Grand Comptoir is a french cuisine pit stop I recommend you make.

Zaza Cuban Coffee
5 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-3430
Alcohol: Of course not, they’re trying to be adults here, coffee and cuban up and move on.
Leaving home always carries a minor level of sadness with it but I usually help crush those emotions with a coffee and an empanada from this grab and go food space that is not too pricey.

Manchu Wok
6 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-4125
Alcohol: No booze at this inn.
Cheap, aggressively fast and delicious is what Manchu Wok brings to the foodcourt in airside 3. Just do everyone a favor and eat it before you get on the plane. Deliciousness leads to odorous, and odorous leads to “you should not have stunk up this plane with two hour old lo mein.”

Qdoba Mexican Grill
4 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-4139
Alcohol: If you ask, sadness will follow.
Waiting around for a delay to pass does seem to always inspire a desire for a chipotle-esque burrito, and when that occurs know that Qdoba has stepped up where others have not and now provides the non-piloting and plane using public a chance to take in an excessive amount of calories before the plane leaves the tarmac.

Camden Food Co.
5:30 – Last Flight, (407)-825-7850
Alcohol: With a bar worth a gander or two, this place takes pride in being able to getcha loose before the flight attendants lecture you about posture.
Choosing this establishment will reward you with organic and Fairtrade based entrees. Sitting down to dine is fun and all but if you don’t have the time to before the Ruby Sapphire boarding group is called then you can swing by their walk-in and go snack shop.

Nathan’s
4:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-2841
Alcohol: Nope, but look, you’re sounding a bit gluttonous with that, plus I bet there’s beer in that chilli anyway.
Whether or not the rumors of the daily MCO hot dog eating contest will ever come to fruition is still to be seen, nonetheless you can still pig out on delicious pig while you wait for that verdict to come out. Quick and moderately priced, the only hefty toll you’ll pay happens once excess ingestion is reached, so pace yourself Kobayashi.

Carvel
9 a.m. – 8 p.m., (407)-825-2841
Alcohol: Nizzope!!
There is a rather intense ice cream fueled turf battle going on between this shop and our next restaurant entry, so I would suggest checking the colors of your outfit before walking around this airside. I sadly do not know which colors associate with Carvel but I would bet that it’s safe to say pink is not theirs. If you want to avoid this conflict then get over ice cream, good luck.

Outback Steakhouse
7 a.m. – 8 p.m., (407)-828-7418
Alcohol: In short, yes.
This taste of the southern hemisphere will be a slow roll if your primary concern is time, however if you do have the time to endure a fake aussie accents and a bloomin’ onion then it’s safe to say you’ll find an enhebriating good time within these walls.

Pinkberry
7 a.m. – 8 p.m., (407)-990-0386
Alcohol: None here, although there were rumors of molotov’s being tossed between Pinkberry and their local rival in the dairy-contra issue back in 94’ but I never found evidence to back this folklore up.
The blatant big kid on the block, Pinkberry can hook you up with some renown flavors that will either energize you or knock you out before your flight. I would be remisced though if I did not mention that they have broken several of the cease-fires between Carvel and themselves that the surrounding MCO’siety have worked so hard to get in place.

Fresh Attractions Deli
4:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., (407)-825-6431
Alcohol: No, sir.
The healthy stop that is trying to avoid the previously mentioned conflict is Fresh Attractions where you can sprint through, snag a premade something, toss your mullah into the air and continue your heavily monitored run to you gate where TSA may or may not be waiting for you with questions.

Johnny Rivers Grill & Market
5:30 a.m. – Last Flight, (407)-825-6688
Alcohol: This healthy establishment counters that balance with airport priced beer and spirits.
The desire to feast on fatty foods is hard to repress if slumber on a plane is all you crave, but the other approach is to get a healthy boost from the fuel station, which some would consider Johnny Rivers to be. This quick stop eatery offers choices in the realm of healthy and revitalizing, specifically chicken wraps and black bean based taco bowls.

Cask and Larder
5 a.m. – Last Flight, (321)-280-4200
Alcohol: Creators of some crafty cocktails and the liquid inebriator that comes from their personal brewery, this spot has your drinking needs covered.
This eatery has brought the family dining experience to MCO with intent as it leaves its Winter Park Store behind. Expect a less than appealing bill as well as a long sit down, but know that patience is key, for what they will drop off at your table following the weight is, in my opinion, beyond worth it.

Villa Italian Kitchen
5 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-825-3860
Alcohol: None for you here my friend, but you can get its best friend here, which is of course pizza.
The first descendant of this restaurant, Villa Pizza, sat up against the Ed Sullivan Theatre on Broadway back in 1964, and now Orlando is fortunate enough to have this recipe respecting dynasty land one of its taste making locations in MCO. The dining will be less than hasty or economically appealing, however there must be a reason that this Classic Italian feast creator has over 250 stores worldwide so go give it a field test.

Jersey Mikes
5 a.m. – 9 p.m., (800)-321-7676
Alcohol: No alcohol in this fast paced and well known sandwicheria.
It would be just about the most Jersey thing you could do in MCO if you were saunter up to this sandwich shack and order any one of their items “Mike’s Way.” With the Big Kahuna and just about every other sandwich you can think of, Jersey Mike’s is the best fast food you’ll find near these gates.

Asian Chao
5 a.m. – 9 p.m., (407)-830-5338
Alcohol: This eatery has no alcohol but I have been told this is not a bad thing.
With a name that could not describe what they do more accurately, Asian Chao can abruptly provide you with some moderately priced far eastern delicacies before quickly sending you on your way with a paring “chao.”
