The restaurant will be housed in a new strip mall at 7858 Turkey Lake Road, just north of Sand Lake Road.
If you’ve gone out for do-it-yourself Korean barbecue, then you’re familiar with yakiniku, a Japanese term used to describe Korean-style grilled meat dishes.
Gyu-Kaku (“horn of the bull” in Japanese) will offer a range of meats including harami skirt steak in a miso marinade, certified Angus kalbi short rib in a tare soy marinade, as well as pork, lamb, duck, chicken, shrimp and an assortment of vegetables.
Their smokeless roasters have a downdraft system that should ensure you don’t leave the restaurant smelling like the meats you just grilled.
There are about 800 Gyu-Kaku locations in Japan, with more than 30 here in the United States.
This will be the second Gyu-Kaku in Florida, the first having opened in Miami two years ago.
