Food and Wine Unite remembers Pulse victims with a celebration of life

Yesterday two of Orlando's favorite chefs, Kevin Fonzo of K Restaurant and Jamie McFadden of Cuisiniers Catering, brought their friends and peers from around the city together with foodies to pay their respects to the Pulse victims. Food and Wine Unite was a benefit event for the staff and volunteers of the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, and all proceeds went to the Center.

Swine & Sons, the Rusty Spoon, Se7en Bites Bake Shop, Local Roots, Hawkers, Farmhaus, Lineage Coffee Roasting and many more donated their time, money, products and talents to the event at East End Market. As a living memorial, 49 butterflies were released from origami envelopes marked with the victims' names. If you missed it or just want to relive the day, here's a video made by Dan Beckman:
