Eat free(ish) at new Orange Ave. Noodles & Company location on Monday

If there’s any one food that almost anyone in the world can eat and be completely happy, it’s noodles. Here at Orlando Weekly, it’s kind of an obsession. And what’s only thing better than noodles? Free noodles.

The new location of Noodles & Company is opening on the corner of Michigan and Orange avenues near SoDo, and to “break in their china,” they’re hosting 200 locals for a free entree and drink.

Well, sort of free. The event benefits the Boone Foundation, and the suggested donation is $5 per person — still well below our threshold of $10 for Orlando’s best cheap eats.

RSVP at the event’s page and be sure to show it at the door, since they’ll have a legit VIP guest list that night. (Note: They just changed the date from Friday, Sept. 11, to Monday, Sept. 14, but if you’ve already registered, no need to re-register.)

Some menu highlights: Pad Thai, Beef Stroganoff (not just for Grandma’s house anymore!), Wisconsin Mac ‘N Cheese, and Indonesian Peanut Saute.
