Head over to Orlando Festival Park this weekend to “root” around for vegetarian and vegan eats and to learn more about the ways a plant-based diet aids your own health as well as — in its own small but crucial way — the health of the planet.
The 19th annual Veg Fest hosts tons of delicious food booths alongside health and beauty vendors, but there’ll also be scores of exhibits and activities for those wanting to learn more about the benefits of a vegetarian diet.
And there’s plenty of fun to go with the learning, including live performances by local musicians, food preparation demonstrations, guest speakers and pet adoptions.
A portion of the proceeds goes toward educational and planting outreach in the community. Be sure not to miss this festival, as you’re sure to “leaf” feeling fulfilled.
10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Orlando Festival Park, free.
