Orlando’s brief but wonderful patio season has, yet again, fallen upon us, and to ensure that you get the most out of the weather before it gets brutal we’ve put together an extensive list of any and all patio spaces in the City Beautiful. Enjoy!
Hillstone Restaurant
215 S. Orlando Avenue, Winter Park | (407) 740-4005
Located right on Lake Killarney, Hillstone is the perfect restaurant to enjoy a beautiful sunset reflecting off the lake while you sip on craft cocktails. The appetizers alone, although only a small list, are the perfect start to the evening, an evening that we suggest should be ended with Hillstone’s warm, five-nut brownie to finish off the night.

13615 Sachs Avenue | (407) 313-7800
The views from the waterfront patio at Canvas are unbeatable. In fact, it might be the only place in town where one can relish a gratifying, and picturesque, lakeside meal prepared by a skilled chef (Bryan Thoman). The diverse menu, with items such as yuca fries and sauteed shrimp mofongo, has enough to satisfy your most particular cravings.

1300 S. Orlando Avenue, Maitland | (407) 629-1088
Dinner with a view is what this place is all about. The Enzian Theater should be one of your top film spots, as both modern and classic masterpieces are screened every week. But what makes it even better is the fact that you can kick back with a glass of wine and an Eden Burger while you enjoy the flick. If you’re not up for a viewing, you can enjoy your meal on the lush outdoor patio area known as the Eden Bar.

300 E New England Ave, Winter Park | (407) 998-8089
The Alfond Inn is one of the pricier patios to chill at but is so worth the cash. Drinks and food come out of Hamilton’s kitchen in the courtyard and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner along with brunch on the weekends so you have many opportunities to enjoy their southern style-cooking each week.

1800 N Orange Avenue | (407) 228-4992
This unlikely drinking spot is tucked away in the back of Washburn Imports, a high-end furniture store in Ivanhoe Village. When you step inside the homey living room-esque bar area, you’re hesitant to sit on (or even touch, for that matter) the exquisitely crafted furnishings. We suggest grabbing a libation from the moderate list of boutique wines and heading to the comfortably squished outdoor beer garden embellished with natural cedar loveseats and soft, twinkly lighting.

Operated by two sisters, this spot packs a punch with some out-of-the-box flavor pairings like Buffalo Cauliflower and Butternut Squash & Apple Soup. This is the place to be if you’re trying to treat your taste buds to something new. But the best way to do it is to grab a seat in the beautiful indoor-patio-esque dining room, with greenery crawling up the walls and the sun (or moon) shining through the windows overhead.
