There’s a seemingly infinite number of events today, but this one offers enough enticements to tempt you to park your derriere in Audubon Park for the evening.
Firstly, there’s a neighborhood night market featuring a wealth of spooky and otherwise vendors, with plenty of folks taking in the sights — and many of them in costume, zombie and otherwise. There will be an outdoor screaming of Gremlins (Xmas movie, but we’ll allow it), costume contests for dogs and humans, live music and roaming performers.
Adjunct events include the closing night at Joybird Books with a performance by experimental house band Ensemble Quelconque, and over at Stardust Video, the Crux Collective is bringing prodigal Orlandoan and avant-chanteuse Kristina Boswell to town.
5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Audubon Park Garden District, free-$7.
