A new exhibit from renowned photographer Clyde Butcher opens at the Polasek Museum this week. America the Beautiful showcases the allure and diversity of the American landscape in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday.
From California redwood forests to the wetlands in Florida, the crisp black-and-white photos allow guests to experience the awe-inspiring majesty of America’s natural world; a world that will continue to endure and inspire despite the best attempts of our current administration. The exhibit will also feature a series of programs, including a lecture and book-signing with Butcher — a tireless documentarian of Florida’s natural wonder dating back to the 1990s — on Oct. 8, a family photography day on Nov. 1, and a pop-up exhibit from local photographers that same weekend. Runs through Dec. 6.
