Horror con Spooky Empire, much like a good slasher-flick villain, is back for another installment in Orlando on Halloween weekend. And there are some big names in horror dying to meet attendees.
The three-day Halloween closer features celebrity guests, panels, cosplay, a pop-up exhibition from Ripley’s Believe It or Not, film screenings, tattoo artists, vendors and after-hours shows featuring bands like Wolf Face, Voltaire and Sister Kil Cycle and even a Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast.
The celebrity guest roster is suitably eclectic, offering up Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis, Doug “Pinhead” Bradly, several of the actors behind Killer Klowns From Outer Space (now also a HHN attraction, surreally), four wrestlers from WWE’s Wyatt Sicks (also a former HHN attraction) faction, Juliette Lewis, several Michael Myers, Bill “Leatherface” Johnson, some of the cast of buzzy new horror flick Buddy, as well as musicians from Slipknot and Skid Row.
Spooky Empire runs from Friday-Sunday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive. Tickets run you $40-$299.
