This weekend, Enzian Theater in Maitland kicks off a limited run of a slice of peak-Floridian cinematic fare: The Python Hunt.
The SXSW award-winning documentary from 2025 is a deep dive into Florida’s yearly officially sanctioned python-hunting competition. As you might have guessed, this contest draws some of the most “Florida Man”-esque men and women in the world to test their mettle against the invasive snakes.
The Python Hunt screens from Friday, June 12, through Tuesday, June 18, at the Enzian. Tickets are available through the Enzian website. Director Xander Robin will be present for the Friday and Saturday screenings.
