It’s been just over a week since Dolly Parton left the world significantly less rhinestone-studded, but the mourning period is not over.

Regal theaters are celebrating the award-winning entertainment and philanthropist’s life and legacy with screenings of Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas nationwide. Tickets are priced at $9.25, to honor Parton’s hit song “9 to 5” (from the movie of the same name). And 100 percent of the ticket sales will go to The Dollywood Foundation, home of Parton’s Imagination Library.

Steel Magnolias screens Sept. 4, 6 and 8. The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas screens Sept. 5, 7 and 9.

Parton leaves behind not only a legacy of iconic music and film, but the bit of heart she gave to virtually every corner of the world. Parton’s Dollywood theme park, which brought her birthplace and home state of Tennessee an onslaught of job opportunities and a boosted economy, was just the start of her endeavors to give. Her legacy and talents were even very entwined with the City Beautiful.
