Downtown Orlando comes alive with art, music, and cultural celebrations with the 17th annual Día de los Muertos and Monster Party event this week. Hosted by CityArts, this free event features Day of the Dead- and Halloween-inspired artwork by artists both local and from around the world.

Magnolia Avenue transforms into a lively street party with art vendors, face-painting, installations, live performances, and of course food and drinks to fortify attendees. Guests can also experience a Día de los Muertos procession and performances from Ravelli, Mariachi Nuevo Guadalajara, México Lindo Folkloric Ballet, belly dancer Sadira, Banda Alternativa and vocalist Francisco Gabriel.

6-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, CityArts, 39 S. Magnolia Ave., downtownartsdistrict.com/cityarts, free-$63.
